Why doesn’t FriendFeed support AtomPub?

without comments

I am writing an iPhone version of FFSync as a little weekend project.

As I was thinking about finally writing the code to upload photos, it struck me that FriendFeed could make my job a lot easier by supporting APP.

My guess is that they want to there to be a singular “Publishing To FriendFeed” API that supports the only client that really matters, a web browser, in a first class way.

BTW:  I was really surprised to see that there isn’t an iPhone client for FriendFeed yet.  I have to believe they are building one.
