The True King

with one comment

The true king can walk among his subjects unarmed, unguarded at night, so it is said.

Of this, I am of two minds.

My Romance, the desire for true brotherhood and love of the human family, wishes this to be true.

How long I have wanted such a world!

My Reason tells me that the king would be cut down in seconds.

How long have we lived in such a world and how much longer still?

Now, the real question is which world is best for humanity?

  1. The Christian world view has been there and done that with this. Your “Reason” played out at the crucifixion. The personal realationship with God that “born-again” believers talk about is your “Romance” which is available today and free for the taking. As for which world is best for humanity? God is letting you choose. Those that can handle the “Romance” get it. Those who would cut down the King “in seconds”…They will get an environment where he isn’t there or anything that belongs to him for that matter. In this place they will perpetually cut down anyone who claims kingship and it has been described most suscinctly as a place of “weeping and knashing of teeth”.
